For the fact that I only wear them on special "dressy" occasions, they do all right, though I am worried a bit about the crease you mention cracking eventually--I get that too, so I know what you mean. And in spite of the sealer, I don't wear them in wet weather, either.
If I decide to do this again, instead of using tissue for the background, I will probably use acrylic paint--less layers to worry about cracking. Still, I love the way they look. And I get compliments on them when I wear them--though people are slightly taken aback when I explain the subject matter, LOL!
